Nourishing Burrito Bowl
A healthy vibrant meat-free meal
Packed with flavour
A burst of flavour to make your tastebuds dance.
Step 1
Prep your vegies and put into bowls ready for serving
- Shred the lettuce
- Chop the tomatoes
- Dice the onion
- Grate the carrot
- Slice the corn off the cob
- Slice the jalapenos
- Cook the brown rice
- Smash the avocado
- Cut the lemons
Step 2
Prepare the mince
- Add the oil to a non-stick fry-pan. Once the heat has reached a medium to high heat, add the carrot and onion
- Then add the Paprika, Onion Salt & Garlic Salt and stir until the flavours release and the onion and carrot are well sweated and glassy in appearance
- Add the mince, stirring constantly until it becomes lightly browned with a uniform caramelisation.
- Add the tomato paste and tinned tomatoes, stir through thoroughly and let it simmer for all the flavours to infuse and the sauce reduces
- Once cooked, turn off heat and set aside ready for assembling your bowls

Divide and conquer

To assemble the bowls, divide the ingredients equally among the 4 bowls
- Garnish with jalapeno, fresh coriander, and what ever additional sauces or garnishes you prefer

Ingredients
- 300g of Froom™ mushroom mince

1/2 Medium carrot grated

1/2 Medium red onion diced finely

1 tsp Paprika

1/2 tsp Onion salt
- 1/2 tsp Garlic salt
- 1/2 tsp Dried oregano
- 1 Tbs Tomato paste
- 100ml Tinned tomatoes
- Oil for frying the mince
- 2 Cups cooked brown rice
- 1/2 a medium to large lettuce shredded
- 2-3 Medium tomatoes chopped
- 1-2 large avocados, mashed and seasoned with salt, pepper and lemon juice
- 2 Fresh Jalapeno’s sliced into fine rings (or bottled)
- 2 Fresh corn cobs
- 1/2 a red onion diced
